I am a well‑qualified Biology teacher with a degree (BSc Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Warwick and a PGCE from the University of Durham. I have over 30 years’ experience in UK independent schools with 10 years as Head of Biology. Throughout my career I have tutored both in person and online. I specialise in GCSE, A Level, and international Biology and my students consistently achieve outstanding results — including 100% A* - C at A Level in 2025 and value‑added scores significantly above national averages.

 

I have extensive experience teaching online and deliver lessons that are structured, interactive, and highly personalised. Using Microsoft Teams, digital whiteboards, screen‑sharing, and tailored online resources, I create clear, engaging learning experiences that help students build confidence and master challenging concepts. My online sessions include live modelling of exam answers, guided practice, targeted feedback, and advice to support independent study.

 

I am confident working with a wide range of learners, including SEND and EAL students, and I adapt online materials to suit individual needs. I also support students with revision planning, exam technique, and UCAS personal statements — including guidance on competitive university pathways.

 

My teaching style is warm, organised, and student‑centred. I aim to help learners reach their full academic potential through high‑quality online tuition that is both supportive and academically rigorous. I bring deep subject expertise, strong communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for Biology to every lesson.
