I am an experienced Computer Science teacher and tutor with over 15 years in education, specialising in helping students understand complex concepts, gain confidence, and achieve excellent results. I hold an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire and a PGCE in IT with QTS, which have equipped me with both deep subject knowledge and a strong pedagogical foundation.

I currently teach Computer Science at an independent school, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. I focus on making challenging topics — such as algorithms, programming, and computer systems — accessible and rewarding for every student. My work as a GCSE examiner for both OCR and Edexcel has given me valuable insight into exam board expectations, enabling me to guide students effectively in exam preparation and technique.

Before my current role, I served as Head of IT and Head of House at a girls' independent day school, where I led curriculum development and supported staff in integrating digital tools into their teaching. Earlier in my career, I taught at other independent and grammar schools, experiences that strengthened my adaptability and commitment to high academic standards.

I pride myself on being clear, organised, and approachable. My teaching style is supportive yet structured — I take time to understand how each student learns best and tailor my approach accordingly. Alongside my professional work, I volunteer with local charities, hosting tea parties for older adults and supporting animal rescue organisations.

I offer tutoring in:
• GCSE and A-Level Computer Science (OCR/AQA)
• Python programming and algorithm design
• Data structures, computer systems, and networking
• Exam technique and coursework support

My goal is always to help students feel confident, motivated, and capable — not just to pass exams, but to truly enjoy learning Computer Science.
