In her own words:

"I am a kind, companionate and a caring person with a passion for my subject. I am extremely resilient, creative and have a long, extensive teaching experience in Primary as well as secondary schools.

I completed my PGCE in Secondary Maths from Goldsmiths and my QTS from Astra SCITT on July 2020. I have a Master’s Degree in Maths. I worked as a trainee teacher at a girl’s grammar school in Buckinghamshire (Aylesbury High School) as part of the training till end of June 2020 and had ample exposures to work with high ability gifted students in the school under the guidance of great mentors and an outstanding Mathematics Department. It was a valuable experience and brought me great feedbacks from my mentors as well as  students.

I also worked with low and medium ability students in a mixed non-grammar school in Herts. My personal interest with SEN was highly encouraged at my department and hence had the opportunity to work with low ability classrooms and SEN students as a Maths teacher. My expertise was in creating innovative and interactive lesson plans to promote curiosity and encouragement among my students.

I also worked as a HLTA(Maths) in a secondary school for a year in mainstream secondary school. This was a very successful and satisfying role to work with small groups or one to one with various students in the school, assessing the gaps in their learning and focusing on improving their grades at GCSE levels.

My private tutoring experience is the longest of all and most enjoyable. I enjoy tutoring cause it gives me more chance to connect with my student, time and freedom to teach making a difference in the young person’s life. My expectations are high, methods fun and relaxed with more practical examples. I like using different maths manipulatives in my lessons and Numicon trained.  My strategy is to build a relationship of trust, understanding, kindness and empathy with my students so they feel safe and happy to learn. Most of my students become independent and responsible learners very quickly and learn to aspire high. I have tutored several students from a different age range of 6 Years to 16 years. This also includes teaching my own kids who qualified for 11 plus successfully to all top schools in UK."
