Tahira - Biology, Chemistry, GCSE Maths

Hi, my name is Tahira! I am a final year medical student at St George’s, University of London and an experienced tutor with over 5 years of experience. Having balanced the intense demands of medical school I understand how to manage academic pressure, build study habits and adopt techniques to aid understanding and consolidation of knowledge.
I teach GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry as well as A-Level Biology and Chemistry, and also offer advice for medical school applications. My goal is not only to help students pass their exams but also to build their confidence in difficult topics and improve their exam technique.
I am a kind, empathetic and compassionate individual who recognises that everyone has individual learning styles, meaning my teaching style adapts between students. I focus on building rapport with my students and creating a space where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

“Tahira’s tailored approach to tutoring was extremely valuable to me as a student. She was patient with me throughout all our sessions, ensuring my understanding of a topic was firmly solidified before moving on. Her consistent encouragement and support when I doubted my own abilities helped me to see significant progress, boosting my exam performance and overall confidence in subjects.”
